This course provides an opportunity to combine an understanding of sophisticated economic theory with advanced finance concepts.
Students will look at micro and macroeconomics and the methodology of econometric research, whilst acquiring a solid grounding in corporate finance and the financial economics tools commonly used in financial services, quantitative investment analysis, and research.
The course is developed and delivered by highly qualified staff with research and consultancy expertise. They will take an open-minded approach to economic problems, studying current mainstream theory and applied techniques alongside a range of alternative critical perspectives.
Throughout the year students will study a set of core modules that develop their understanding of economics and finance. As well as microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and how it is applied to real-life problems, you’ll build your knowledge of international banking and finance and corporate finance as a whole.
This knowledge base will support their specialist learning when students choose from a range of optional modules. Students could explore different areas of economics such as the economics of globalization, or concentrate on financial topics such as corporate governance or financial derivatives.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students must have a bachelor's degree with a 2:1 (Hons) with a background in economics, finance, or accounting.
Students with a strong grounding in quantitative subjects with high grades are essential.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Students must have completed 3-4 year’s bachelor’s degree with 60%.

Language Requirments:

Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE scores.
