- Our course investigates a variety of media institutions, industry perspectives and texts. It explores the central role of the media in our everyday lives, and challenges the common sense assumptions that surround it.
- The Radio Production and Media Studies course from the University of ChesterÊ encourages understanding of how and why media institutions operate as they do, the representation or exclusion of some issues by the media, the role of new technologies, and the opportunities and challenges offered. Our course offers a theoretical framework to analyse contemporary media.
- This is an academic course, designed to foster critical, analytical and communication skills
- From the outset, you will be broadcasting in teams, in small groups and individually, if you so choose, Ð and not just in lecture times either. Our radio station Ð The Cat Radio Ð is at the heart of campus social life, and is on air and online 24/7. You will have access to the studios till late in the evenings and over the weekends. Your listeners are in the hall next door, all over the country and on the other side of the world.
