Field of Study

  • The extent, nature and impacts of these shifting cultures have hardly been explored and are poorly understood and yet there is great interest in the apparent changes amongst policy makers, practitioners and scholars in the UK and further afield.
  • This project aims to explore the emerging cultural shift amongst homelessness services in the UK. What has changed? What geographical variations exist and why? How is the cultural shift experienced by service providers and homeless people? How might ÔpositiveÕ shifts in service cultures be transferred? These are all questions this PhD studentship might usefully explore.
  • This PhD will make an important contribution to housing and homelessness studies as part of a wider body of work expected to emerge from the CaCHE.
