Course Closed: Advanced Chemical Engineering is no longer accepting new applications.

M.Phil in Advanced Chemical Engineering at the University of Cambridge is offered on a full-time basis for a duration of 11-months.
This is an on-campus and thesis-based program.
This program is also offered on a part-time basis for a duration of two years.
Students come into College residence in late September/early October.
During the first two terms, students take a total of 10 modules which includes a combination of core chemical engineering modules and elective modules based on engineering and business/management-related subjects.
Modules are taught by a combination of formal lectures, demonstrations, discussion classes, and example problems.
Each module contains at least 16 hours for lectures, tutorials, etc and students are expected to spend at least 16 hours per week on private study and coursework preparation.
Students undertake a full-time research project from March to August month which results are submitted as a dissertation.
This project might involve business-related as well as chemical engineering research and may involve industrial collaboration.
After completion of this degree, students can apply for PhD research degree for which students are expected to obtain a good Pass for the MPhil ACE course.
The courses are assessed by both examinations and written coursework.
The Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology is a very dynamic organization that brings together top-notch research in the areas of engineering, chemistry, biology, and physics.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students must complete UK first-class Honours degree or equivalent in a relevant field from a recognized university.
The related fields include a UG degree in biochemical engineering or applied chemistry.
GPA of at least 3.0/4.33 (B grade) in the last 2 years of study is required to be eligible for this program.
Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) or C1 Advanced-Grade A or B (with at least 193 in each individual element) plus a language center assessment.
Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) or C2 Proficiency-Grade A, B, or C (with at least 200 in each individual element).
Students must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL and PTE to get admission in this program.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they complete one of the following eligibility criteria:

Completed a 4-year bachelor's degree with first-class in a relevant field such as Computer Applications, Engineering from a recognized institution.
Or, completed a B.Sc/B.Com/B.A (3-4 year) degree from well-ranked institutions with an overall grade of 70% or CGPA 7.3+.
