- The MSc in Engineering with Management is designed for graduates who wish to combine leading-edge knowledge in management practices and state-of-the-art practical advances to lead in the new era of engineering and technology.
- This unique, one-year master's degree in Engineering with Management combines the foundations of management for engineering and technology, with the opportunity to pursue one of three specialist pathways.
The Engineering with Management program has three pathways:- MSc in Engineering with Management - Intelligent Manufacturing
- MSc in Engineering with Management - Energy for Sustainability
- MSc in Engineering with Management - Infrastructure Systems
- The Engineering Design and Technology unit provides knowledge of the technologies on which the modern engineered world is built. It will introduce a combination of theoretical foundations, practical methods, and tools to apply in the Global Challenge Project where students will work collaboratively on a real-world multidisciplinary project.
- Units include Strategic Business Management for Engineers to provide fundamentals of what strategy is and differentiate it from other business activities.
- The programme is designed to develop your analytical and critical skills in the strategic management issues facing technological organisations in today's fast-changing environment.
- The Engineering Design and Technology unit provides knowledge of the technologies on which the modern engineered world is built.
- It will introduce a combination of theoretical foundations, practical methods and tools to apply in the Global Challenge Project where you'll work collaboratively on a real-world multidisciplinary project.
- The Uncertainty and Risk Management unit provides relevant techniques to identify, quantify and analyse uncertainties in engineering applications, to support well-informed decisions about improving products, processes and mitigate risk in projects.
- Finally, you will complete a supervised research-based dissertation project.
- As a graduate of the MSc in Engineering with Management, you will be better equipped to pursue a leadership role in world-leading engineering and technology organisations or you could choose to work in a variety of industries such as consultancy management, product development or business development.
- In addition, this course will support roles based in manufacturing, supply chain management or government, particularly where technology is of importance to business success.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must hold an upper second-class honours degree (or international equivalent) in engineering from a recognized university.
- Non-standard applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE scores.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- Departments will accept CBSE or CISCE English at 80% or above in lieu of another English test, with an MOI letter confirming that English is the teaching language of their institution.
- The master’s programs require a first-class degree (60% or higher) from a recognized Indian University, with specific grades depending on the institution.
- Applicants wishing to be considered for a research study at Bristol should have a first-class pass in their Indian bachelor’s degree and some research experience. It may also be advantageous to have completed a master’s degree with research elements.
