- The undergraduate History program at Queen’s offers students a wide choice of modules. Courses span a long chronological period from Ancient History through to the late twentieth century.
- The School has specialists in ancient, medieval, early modern and modern history.
- The modules on offer to undergraduates also cover a wide geographical area that includes Ireland, England, Scotland, Europe, Africa, Asia and North America. Students can choose modules that focus on gender, social and cultural history, race, colonial history, politics, religious and economic change.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- A minimum of a 2:2 Honours Degree provided any subject requirement
Indian students eligibility:
Applicants must have the following qualifications to be eligible for direct admission:
- Three A levels
- Between 30 and 36 points in the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB).
- The Standard Indian XII (10+2) examinations from CBSE, CISCE or State Boards of Higher Secondary Education are acceptable for admission to their Bachelor's degree programmes.
An average mark of 70 - 85% or higher (best of 5 academic subjects) in the Standard Indian XII Higher Secondary School certificates awarded by the central boards (CBSE, CISCE) or a state board, or equivalent, with 75% or higher where subject requirements are stipulated (comparable with Grade B at A-Level).
Applicants will normally need to demonstrate a level of English equivalent to 6.5 IELTS or 90 TOEFL IBT (Internet-based test). However, some degree programmes have higher or lower requirements.
