Geophysics programme at University of Aberdeen is designed to expose students to the theory and practice of modern Geophysics, with an emphasis on cutting edge techniques for understanding the structure, dynamics and composition of the Earth from the near surface to the deep interior. The content is broad-based and integrative with a strong focus on the quantitative aspects of geophysical data analysis and interpretation.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants must have an International Baccalaureate Diploma
- Strong performance in Mathematics is essential, both in students entry qualifications and any previous study.
- If students are studying A levels Univesity strongly prefer that they take a full A level in Further Mathematics, which forms part of university’s typical offer.
- Offers are available for applicants who have only studied Further Mathematics at AS level or have not studied it at all.
- University prefer applicants who have previously studied Computing, however, students do not need to have done so to be suitable for this course.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- Applicants must have an International Baccalaureate Diploma
- Strong performance in Mathematics is essential, both in students entry qualifications and any previous study.
- University prefer applicants who have previously studied Computing,
- Higher Secondary School Certificate (12th Standard)
- An average of 85% across four subjects with 90% in Mathematics.
