  • BA in Accounting and Finance at Robert Gordon University is a 4 year.
  • It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
  • At Robert Gordon University studying the BA (Hons), Accounting and Finance established links with professional accounting bodies and employers to ensure the course is relevant for today's accounting profession.
  • Students will learn the key business disciplines through a distinctive blend of modules including Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, and Audit. College unique placement opportunity provides real-life experience and in some cases, can enable students to qualify as a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland faster than other Accounting and Finance graduates.

Placements

Unique among Accounting and Finance courses in Scotland, in Year 3 students will have the opportunity to undertake a year-long, paid work placement. Placements are typically in an Accounting or Finance position within a professional accounting firm or the accounting or finance department of a larger organization within specialist function areas such as Audit or Tax. Students will undertake two academic modules by distance learning whilst on placement.

Previous placements have included ConocoPhillips, Deloitte, and TAQA. Some of our students do so well in their placements that they are offered a job by their placement employer to return to the organization after graduation.

The Placement Office team advertises opportunities and also works closely with employers through the selection process.
