LLB (Hons) Law course will provide you with the professional competencies of functioning legal knowledge and applied skills as required for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (overseen by the Solicitors Regulation Authority) to become a solicitor in England and Wales.
- The University of Bolton provides a number of dedicated facilities for School of Law students. The School has its own Law Library and specialist law Librarian. It also has a dedicated court room, opened by Sir Ernest Ryder. The Court Room allows students to develop their practical legal skills in, for example, mock trials and moots.
- The School of Law develops the employability of its law students both as part of the degree programme and through extra-curricular activities. The Professionals in Practice, Preparation for Practice and Law Clinic modules are designed to give students an understanding legal practice. The Law Clinic module also provides students with the opportunity to develop real life advisory skills in the Legal Advice Centre under the supervision of a Solicitor. In addition, all undergraduate students will have a relevant work placement opportunity.
- The School of Law team also has well-developed links with local solicitors and barristers chambers. The School has representation on the Committee of the Bolton Law Society.
- The School hosts the Annual Ryder Lecture series and Leeming Lecture series. This provides students with the opportunity to hear esteemed practicing lawyers, judges and others working in the legal sphere talk about current legal issues.

60% or above at standard XII (all boards)
Successful completion of a 2 year diploma (state board or approved polytechnic).
You should have a minimum of two GCE A2-level passes (or equivalent), including any subject and five GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent), including Maths and English.
