This University was formed in 1957 with an average 4,000-4,999 student population every year. The current student body represents around 65 different countries. Mostly the selection is done on the basis of academic grades as well as Employment experience. The University invites applications for January and September intakes.

Country-specific requirements are as follows:

• Indian Applicants: 65% marks in 12th standard. Or advanced Entry to certain UG degree programs on the basis of UK HND or India Diploma.
• Chinese Applicants: Passed Chinese University Entrance Examination/ Matriculation Examination. Or completed the first year of a Bachelor degree program in China. Or Applicants with HND or Associate Degree in a related subject are eligible for advanced standing on a corresponding UG degree program.
• Pakistani Applicants: 2 years of degree with good overall grades. Or Advanced entry to certain undergraduate degree program can be granted to students who hold a UK HND in a relevant subject

Visa Process for International Students

UK Study Visa is granted on the basis of points-based system these days wherein CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies) plays an important role. Student has to obtain CAS from International student center if they have received an unconditional offer from university and is planning to accept the same.

• In next step student has to provide the CAS to British Consulate or High Commission while applying for a study visa to the UK.
• Student will be granted a Tier 4 General Student visa against scored points in these two fields:
• Points for the CAS.
• 10 points are awarded for the Maintenance and Funds Test.

(Student should have enough funds to pay the first year’s fees plus £9,135. The university would check proof of the same before issuing the CAS)

• Student should choose to study a full-time course, which has minimum of 15 hours per week; or a course including a work placement element, which is no more than 50% of the full course length.

UCB Graduate Admissions

With two major types of degrees being offered by MA and MSc. The entry requirements for the PG programs available with the college are as follows:

• A grade classification of 2:2 is required or international equivalent
• A subject related International honours degree from a recognised institution.
• 5 years’ managerial work experience
• A reference letter form the program manager

Country-specific requirements for International Students

Indian Applicants:

• 3-Year Degree with a score of at least 60%.
• 4-Year Degree with a score of at least 55%
• 3 Year Degree with of score between 55-60% or a 4 -Year degree with a score between 50% and 55% will be offered PG diploma first and then upon completion can be enrolled for master courses.

Chinese Applicants:

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a score of at least 75%

Pakistani Applicants:

• A 3 year UG degree along with a master’s degree.
• A 4 year UG degree with scores of 60%.
• A 2-3 Year degree with a score of 55% / 2.7 GPA along with a 1 or 2 Year Master’s Degree at with a score of 55%.

This University might have a good acceptance rate but the student should apply 2-3 months before so that enough time is left for Visa application. Also Academic scores/ Grades/ Employment experience are the prerequisites hence applicants should tally the same before going ahead for the application.
