  • This MA programme offers a unique blend of creative practice, business insight, and academic enquiry in support of students realising their creative visions to a professional level in music study, whether it be in performance; composition and arrangement; production; music research and writing; or other specialised areas of study in music.
  • The programme provides you with the professional support required to develop your creative vision, and we will work closely with student at every stage of planning, preparation and promotion of particular musical path to deliver student creative vision within the public arena as a practising music professional.
  • The MA is based on an individually negotiated program of practice and research rather than a pre-arranged program of teaching
  • There is a strong emphasis on supervised independent learning, personal responsibility, reflection and evaluation

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academics: 

  • Applicants normally require a First Class or Upper Second Class Honours Degree or equivalent in the subject to be studied
  • Applicants who do not meet above criteria may be asked to demonstrate potential to achieve a Masters award via a sample of academic writing and interview

  • Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
