- By successfully achieving all components of the MNurs (Hons) Adult Nursing students will be entitled to register as a Nurse. This course will enable them to develop a systematic understanding of knowledge and skills in order to meet the NMC’s requirements for initial registration as an autonomous practitioner in adult nursing.
- On completion, students will have a conceptual understanding of the research process that will enable them to critically evaluate current research. This knowledge will underpin their nursing practice so that they will be able to provide safe and effective nursing care to adults and to support their families and other carers in a variety of health care settings.
- This course is a combined professional and academic award that aims to develop their nursing practice in decision-making ability in complex and unpredictable situations. It will provide students with the skills to deal with these complex issues both systematically and creatively.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
- GCSE English based subject, Mathematics and Science (science subject could be Biology; Physics; Chemistry; Psychology; Sociology; Health and Social care) at Grade C+ / 4 or equivalent qualifications (e.g. Key Skills Level 2/ Learn Direct Level 2/ Functional Skills Level 2)
- 120 UCAS points
- A-Levels - grades BBB (General Studies is not accepted)
- BTEC L3 Extended Diploma or OCR Cambridge L3 Technical Extended Diploma - grades DDM
- Access to HE Diploma Full award (60 credits) in Health Studies, Health Science, Nursing, Social Science, Psychology or other Science-based course is considered, of which a minimum of 45 must be at Level 3 with at least 18 of these Level 3 credits at Merit or Distinction.
- If students do not have GCSE Science grade C/4+ /equivalence, an additional 12 Level 2 science credits (biology, chemistry or physics) within the Access can be accepted as GCSE grade C/4+ equivalence.
