- This fascinating and thorough course allows students to examine a wide range of themes and issues in the history of Britain, Europe and the Americas from the sixteenth century to the present day.
- Focusing on the cultural, political, social and economic aspects of historical change, students will be encouraged to study particular areas of historical interest and controversy in depth. Subjects include the study of youth culture, crime, labour movements, consumption, globalisation, migration, and the impact and conduct of war.
- In the studies, students will learn the essential historical techniques of critical analysis, research methods and the skills required for handling and processing information.
- Students will also be given the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of different historical approaches through a varied and dynamic learning and teaching environment. Using traditional and enhanced electronic forms of learning, this degree enables students to achieve their full potential, developing the skills for successful study and future employment.
