Imperial College MSc Applied Biosciences and Biotechnology

ICL is one of the top 10 universities in the world. Besides, the programme is very well structured and covers all major bioscience focus areas.

Course Curriculum :

The course curriculum is very updated and relevant to modern day and state-of-the-art biological and biotechnological research. It is a well structured course comprising of taught and research elements. We had a tutored dissertation where we had to write a review article followed by a three month research experience/project.

My scores: IELTS- 7.5; bachelor's CGPA- 9; Class minimum score: IELTS 7 , bachelor's CGPA =/>9

Placement :

95%+ of class working in research and non-research roles. There is no direct placement opportunity but the degree helps you land a job. Research roles include PhD or working as a research assistant. Non-research roles include consulting, IT, sci communication, science writing etc.

Faculty :

The faculty and student numbers are well balanced. ICL has a world class faculty. They are well versed and almost always available (in person or via email) for doubts and questions. I especially enjoyed working and interacting with my MSc research supervisor Dr Marc Dionne and my dissertation tutor Prof William Wisden.

Campus Life :

There are plenty of clubs on campus and a wide array of extracurricular activities to choose from. High tech research labs. Free wifi, huge library, sports clubs and activities. I was a part of the Indian society and participated in East Meets West 2019.

Hostel :

ICL doesnt provide accomodation to master students except under special circumstances. However, there are mane private students accomodation options to choose from.
