Course Curriculum
The course focuses on the foundations of the subject area and also on the ongoing research in the field. Lecturers are research active and often tell about their research.

Placement
I have not applied for companies as my field is research focused. For research opportunities I have costed different universities in the UK such as UCL, kings college, Oxford and Cambridge. I have also looked at different startups and companies doing research such as the Francis crick institute and Sanger institute. There are numerous research opportunities available with paid hours and these opportunities also give students the chance to public papers with academics and present their work at conferences and symposiums.
Internship
I have not interned at any company I have primarily worked in universities.
Events
There are over 300 societies that students can join from culture, to sports and arts. All societies have events for example Indian society has an inter university Bollywood dance competition, club nights and games nights. There is a sports facility on campus with a gym, swimming pool and other courts. The library is 6 stories and WiFi is available everywhere on campus.

Faculty
There are usually 150 students into the class but there are tutorial and labs groups where there are smallest groups of 10-30. Everyone is assigned a personal tutor for the whole duration of your course. The faculty are very helpful and have a lot of experience in the field. They provide numerous opportunities for students in their research labs and also for presentations.
Hostel
All first year students are accommodated in college accommodation. The prices per week starts from £100 - £250 per week. All the accommodations are located at different places so students can either walk, cycle or take public transport. There is the option of getting en-suite or shared rooms.
