Established in 2003, Brighton and Sussex Medical School, UK operates in an equal partnership with the University of Sussex and University of Brighton. It offers a 5 year Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery that is a globally coveted program among aspirants seeking to study in the UK. The placements are integrated into the Curriculum of the Degrees. Teaching hospitals and Clinical Placements are done to train students. Students work in Royal Sussex Hospitals, The University NHS Hospitals and thus there are General Practice Placements.
In 2017, there were 12 hospitals where students take training placements. During the initial phase, trainers are trained for Communication Skills moving to Clinical Skills, Minor illness, chronic disease skills, and in the last year they are trained under student-led surgeries.
