Remarks :
The process was easy. The application form can be downloaded online or even from the college administrative block itself. Students who passed their 12th std are eligible for the course. The staff of the department are very friendly and easily approachable
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose the course because of my passion for fashion and apparel. After I joined here I was addicted to this college because of the environment, the friendly faculty and the infrastructure. Here in the department, there are around 200 students,10 teaching staff and 4 non-teaching staff as lab assistants. All the professors are net and slet qualified. We have 2 internals 2 assignments and 1 seminar every semester and it is quite difficult to get a high score until you study well
Internships Opportunities :
I have gone to South Indian garments for my internship as a pattern maker and worked in the project for Roberto Cavalli for over a month. Where I have learnt a lot about the textile industry and import and export industry
Placement Experience :
Students after the 4th semester can attend the campus placement. More than 50 Companies like Jockey, nestle, pothys, the Chennai Silks, and TCS have come to our university and a lot of students are placed every year.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Being an central government aided university the fees remained unchanged for years. Students can avail any of the available scholarships because they have a lot of scholarships. Faculties help us to avail those. They conduct campus interview every year and a noticeable amount of students get placed
Campus Life :
Life in this university is so good it is so friendly practical and happy. Every year they conduct kalaivizha in the time of October to celebrate Navaratri traditionally students of each department show cased their skills. Our department showcases different costumes of different states every year in a particular theme. Where the interior design students showcase their decorating skills in a theme. Our classrooms and labs are well-spaced and well-equipped with projectors and other machines. Our university gives equal importance to sports NSS and NCC as well. Students of our university will participate in the Republic Day parade in Delhi every year.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel rooms are decent and well-spaced. But the only issue is that there is no attached bathroom and there is a common toilet only. The application for a hostel room is quite serious because there are a lot of people who want to stay in the hostel. Rooms are provided in the basics of the distance of the place they are coming from. Food provided there are very healthy like greens pulses and egg but non veg is not allowed. If you don't get the college hostel you can go for private hostels always the college is surrounded by a lot of pg and rooms
