Remarks :
Anyone could apply to write the vitee. the vitee is the entrance exam for vit university, but even with top scores in vitee, 60% in the 12th and 10th boards are minimum to join the college. The information about the exam wasn't well known to me. I just knew about the college vit as it is in the top rankings of Nirf. The application form, fees and application dates we easily available in Google.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course is one of the upcoming courses choosen by many scholars as it's fascinating and has a high scope for job placements in future. the faculty is pretty good and friendly but it varies a lot in many classes, it isn't an uncommon occurrence as in universities there obviously are some very loved professors and some not very much. The term exams were comparatively much harder than expected and the checking of the papers was strict, many failed.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees are very costly and quite frankly not worth it. Even category-1 students have to pay 200000 for yearly tution without considering the hostel fees. whereas category -5 tution can range to 500000 without tution which is very costly for vit ap campus. The scholarships are not available or at least the students aren't made aware of it. With no scholarship, financial assistance and job on campus the tution can be considered very expensive.
Campus Life :
As a fresher, who hasn't been on campus for more than a month I can't talk about the fests, but I have heard a lot about fests in vit and it can be considered to be a hit among students. The library is very well maintained and updated with the latest issues. The classroom can be considered a disappointment as with no Ac's in this hot weather and simple benches instead of gallery type classroom felt a tad bit disappointing. the labs are well equipped but the internet is quite slow. sports grounds are well built but not maintained. the seniors are accommodating. There are many clubs, social groups and websites run by students for students.
Hostel Facilities :
The room is quite small but not a big issue. The students are provided with a small cupboard, a desk, a shelf and a cottage (without the mattress). The main issue is the number of insects in this place - mosquitos, spiders, worms and beetles to name a few. The meal is pretty nice in mh4 but the same can't be said about other hostels as different companies are hired for different hostels. The registration process for the hostel was pretty simple with everything being done in minutes.
