UOH detailed review after NEP2020

AS

Remarks :

in 2022 I was admitted through the CUET entrance exam, which was the first-ever exam under NEP 2020, and my experience also was good. I prepared through various kinds of books like general awareness, current affairs, basic 10th-level mathematics, and aptitude questions. To be eligible for an integrated master's program with an anthropology major at Hyderabad Central University, you have to opt for the CUET exam general paper and English as compulsory. everyone can get to know about the CUET exam through the NTA announcement. The application fee for the CUET exam is 600 rupees for the general category. additionally, you have to pay separately for university application fees, which are 500 for the general category. now, some changes have been made to the admission process at Uoh, but it's mostly the same.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose social science with an anthropology major cause it has vast exposure to the social field. You can be numismatics, field experts, anthropologists, archaeologists, and survey experts. After all, you can be a philanthropist. anthropology has a relationship with arts as well as science background. We can study about past human food habits, rituals, cultures, morals, and beliefs. in recent times, ethnicity also we can do the same research. Faculties are good and well-experienced and taught with good knowledge about the subject-based context. attendance (75%) is compulsory at the University of Hyderabad. The faculty members all have a PhD with 5 to 10 years of experience as professor and asst. professor level. There are also guest faculty members who taught some courses at the undergrad level. the evaluation methods are too simple. We have 3 internal exams with 20 marks each out of 3 best 2 are selected and the end semester exam carried out 60 marks. out of 100, you need 40 marks to pass.

Internships Opportunities :

After the NEP2020 the internship opportunities are vast for the students in the university, there are so many companies visited for internship purposes. the Internshala platform helps university students engage with internships.

Placement Experience :

About the placement, uoh has various different courses from humanities, social science, sciences, engineering, and business studies to medical sciences. So every discipline has its own rules and regulations for placements and internships. engineering and business studies students, mostly get placement from big MNCs and other tech companies, but social science or humanities students, have to struggle need to get placement.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

About the hiking of fees, it is rational for everyone, and everyone can easily afford it. For my integrated social science course, I paid nearly Rs.10,000 per year. the useful books for study purposes, you can get those from the library. there are an enormous amount of books available. now, for scholarships, you can get a monthly university-level scholarship named digital allowance grants (DAG) Rs.1000 per month, and state-level scholarships are also available if you are from Telangana state.

Campus Life :

This is the first time I am staying in the hostel of Uoh, and it is a mixed feeling. some students don't like to stay in a hostel, and some want the hostel life. It depends on person to person. The annual fest we had, Sukoon, last year was really mind-blowing. other than the annual fest, there are 200 other fests out of 365 days. cultural fests, sports days, ethnicity fests, and many more. also, we have various social groups like Shape Your Thoughts (SYT), junior science club ( JSC), and other course-oriented group programs.

Hostel Facilities :

The University of Hyderabad campus has 13 boys and 10 girls' hostels. the campus is too vast, and it has a south campus and a north campus. in the south campus boys' hostel, there are a total of 350 rooms, each of the rooms accommodating 2 students. in a room, you get a single-sized steel bed, a wall-attached wardrobe, a study table, and a chair for each person. the bathroom facilities are also good. Every day, the cleaning masters come and maintain the cleanliness of the hostel as well as the bathrooms. on the day of admission, you get your hostel accommodation. the hotel fees, including mess fees, are nearly Rs. 30-35k yearly. and talking about meals, we get every day 3 times meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. the food is mixed with south and north Indian foods. food quality is not that good but according to the fess, it is good.

Placement Experience:

Yeah, the college provides good placements for the students. Many internships were also provided by the faculty itself. But the sciences department will have more placements than the arts or any other. Around 6 to 7 lakhs can be the average package.

I chose political science as my interest. The faculty is highly qualified and timely available. The student-teacher ratio is around 25:1 for a general class. All internals and term exams are conducted regularly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have got a seat in the Political Science department. Right from my intermediate I had a keen interest in political science so I just applied for every university that offer political science. Luckily I got the best university in the case of political science. It is one of the strongest departments in this university. The faculty was too good in political science. We have 3 internals and an end-semester exam. However, these exams are not that easy to pass we have to give our highest input.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'm interested in the field of economics and I want to be Economist. Students: faculty ratio is 600:50. Almost all faculty members have done their Ph.D. in the field of economics and some are from other social sciences courses. Every year December and May we have semester exams. If we try hard it's very easy to pass but we have to work for good score.

Students are eligible for campus placements after completing the total Integrated MA course or any Integrated course. Offers that are quite good enough. I choose to get upgraded myself from my job after getting my campus placements.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is not good for MA students, especially for anthropology, sociology, and history but it is better for economics and English students. Mtech and MBA students get easy placements 40 to 50 percent get placement. My plan is for the preparation of civil services.

I am very interested in the IMA Telugu course, here faculty is most experienced, and there are PhDs with 20-25 years of experience, we can learn something from them. I am very fortunate to get a seat here. If we're preparing well it is easy to get a seat here.
