Remarks :

Eligibility: 10th pass with minimum marks of 50%. For lateral entry in 2nd year, you have to pass your H.S. examination with a minimum marks of 50%. Generally, polytechnic colleges in West Bengal take admission through the jexpo entrance exam which is conducted by the West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education board. You can find application details and application form at https://webscte.co.in/. Generally cut-off of jcgp is around 1k rank. If you are from the reservation category (SC, st,obc) you can take admission through your category rank.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Choosing civil engineering lets you form the world by designing and building important infrastructure like bridges, homes, and roads. It combines creativity with problem-solving, gives numerous professional opportunities, and contributes to society's progress. The faculty-student ratio is decent in the civil engineering department at jcgp. Wbscte follows the semister curriculum as instructed by AICTE.

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 800 per year

Placement Experience :

Generally from the 4th and 5th semester, students become eligible for campus placement. According to the t&p cell, 27+ companies visited our campus. Most of the students get placement this year. I'm a pass out of the 2023 diploma in civil engineering batch in this college and currently, I'm studying b.tech from Heritage Institute of Technology.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Jnan Chandra Ghosh Polytechnic is a government-owned college so the cost of the study is very low. You have to pay 200/- as registration fees per semester and 800/- tution fees per year. Here companies like L&T, Tata Projects, ITD Cementation, Wood plc, etc. come for on-campus interviews. They provide an average package of 3.2LPA.

Campus Life :

Here student council organized an annual cultural fest and also a tech fest on Engineers Day. The campus is decently clean and good. Library stuffs are very helpful you can find your semester curriculum-related books in the library. They provide you with books for your whole semester.

Union of apc

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love civil engineering in class 12th pass Then I will appear for the jexpo exam and counseling process and I will be approved by APC Ray Polytechnic College. Student ratio 1:60 I mean 1 course 60 students approx. All faculty members have good qualifications. Maximum teachers are NATS and B.tech qualified and their teaching methods are superb. One semester exam time is only 4-5 months and if you are minimum study you pass easily.

My dream is a software Engineer so for this reason I choose this course. In our classroom, there are 63 students. To join this course you have to do an Entrance exam called JEXPO. The teachers at this college are very good. The exam is easy, you can clear it with one attempt.

The college is good it's not bad

Course Curriculum Overview:

I want to be a software engineer for this I choose this course. students are coming from long distances they are interested in studying and serious about it. the teachers all are highly qualified and they teach us so well but they teach us all in english because I am from Bengali medium it's hard to understand all those things they teach us. we can't get the proper time to study in 1st semester we have to study for 6 months but in reality, we get 2 or hardly 3 months.

Navigating Academia: My Journey at Asansol Polytechnic

Placement Experience:

From the 5th sem, one student can fill out the form and sit for placement and interview. Companies like L&T, Aditya Birla Company, Giridhan Metalics, Tata Steel and Mining Limited, Gainwell Cat, Bengal Projects Limited etc. companies visited and hired students for jobs in different posts. The highest package is 4 LPA till 2023. Students about 65-70 % get placed in different companies other students also go for higher studies.
