Remarks :
Our collage admission is based on 10th class cgpa. Many of the students are selected on thier merit performance. But the scenario for our admission is different due to covid pandemic. We didn't get chance to write our 10th examination, so we entered our university by an entrance examination. There is a website for our university (www.rguktn.ac.in). You can find application links there. There are reservation benifits too. In my opinion, selecting on basis of 10th marks will be helpfull only to rural area students, which is the main motto of our university. Where as selecting on basis of merit using entrance can be helpful to filter out many talented students.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Basically, the curriculum for our course is designed such a way that every lecture should be only useful for studying B.tech. So it is quite different from other universities. The faculty are so interactive that they maintain a friendly atmosphere in class room. The faculty strength is less than expected as there are issues regarding recruitment of professors. All the faculty are highly qualified and very talented. Exams are conducted so fast that 6 months semister is completed in 4 months (due to covid)
Internships Opportunities :
Actually the internships are given to students in 3rd year of engineering. I am studying in 2nd year so I have no knowledge about it. According to my sources, there are many companies offering internships to our students and are starting from 10000 to 40000 based on there performances.
Placement Experience :
There is a good scope for you to get a campus placement even if you are an average candidate in terms of study. Many students are going on there own interest and many are getting placements(90%) . Only a few, are getting out jobless.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fees structure is simple. As this is a government body, we(students) all are mostly eligible for government scholarships (like fees rembersment). So no single rupee is to spend in terms of a student's fee(including hostel and mess) . But you can spend money for your own needs. There are many opportunities for getting campus placements or internships. Most of the students get them.
Campus Life :
Actually there are many students clubs to help students for several needs. Many of them are actually useful if you use them correctly. There is a big library in the university which can be useful for one's study. Sports and other activities have good place too.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel facility is good. We can share a room with 3 members. Hostel is fine. The actual problem is the mess. It is nightmare for any of our students. It is not that bad but not that good too. So anyone coming here to study hould consider that they have to adjust for food.
