Remarks :

Eligibility is (10+2). Must have physics chemistry math and biology in the 12th class. All the admission and related notices are published on the university website from time to time. Have 2 quota state and ICAR quota There is no need for any improvement in the admission process. All are going in a smooth manner.

Course Curriculum Overview :

It's an emerging course. There are many job opportunities after graduation. It's a 4 years professional course. Each year contains about avg 35 students. Faculty includes well-teaching professors assistant teachers and skilled staff. Every year has 2 sems. Each sem is evaluated by an Internal exam external exam practical and viva voce. Exam pattern according to ICAR guidelines and easy to pass with small effort.

Class Size : 35Course Fees : INR 11000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Various companies like tata godrej agro shakti etc. and various ICAR institutes like Cifa Cifri Cife Ciba provide stipends. Various projects like seed production fish health fish culture breeding process programmes.

Placement Experience :

Students get placements from the last semester i.e. 8th semester. Various agro limited companies provide placement like godrej agrovet Tata Agro Hindustan Agri Pvt Ltd etc. The highest package provided in the placement list was 500000 per year. Avg package 3lakh per year. About 65 percent of students get placements every year. I will go for a higher degree from this university.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees are affordable to all the students. The fee structure is different for hostellers and day scholars. University provide their own scholarship for the poor economically conditioned but meritorious students. They also get various state-level and central-level scholarships through University approval.

Campus Life :

Two festivals are conducted every year one is AGOMONI Which is conducted prior to Durga Puja and another one is the annual fest in November of every year. Library rich in various journals imp books and research papers. Classroom rich in essential credentials like fan light projector air conditioner etc. Every year annual sports are conducted by the students committee in the month of January. Social groups are available for some small social activities.

Pros and cons of WBUAFS

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I want to pursue a career in agriculture and allied sciences that's why I choose this course. The university has pretty good faculties. Our college has a 1: 6.5 faculty: student ratio. The qualification of the faculty is great. Among 26 faculties 22 faculties have Ph.D. and the other 4 are also pursuing their Ph.D. in their respective fields. The teaching method is quite good. I can assure you that it will be worth your bachelor's degree but I recommend doing a master's from another college. Exams will be on a semester basis i.e. every 6 months there will be one-semester end term and before the end term, there will be one mid-term. So basically for one semester, you have to appear 2 exams; one is mid term then the other is end-term. Exams are not difficult at all. Questions are from what you are taught in the class.

Grow Fish and Grow with Fish

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually,From my Childhood I love to see the aquariums and ornamental fishes so my dream is to become an aquaculturist and solve the problem of fish farmer . Fishery is also a sunrise sector in India .If we use our country's wetlands, reservoirs properly then it's very easy to reduce the food scarcity and malnutrition. Faculty is very good having well educated, helpful and cooperative teachers . Laboratories is also good,lots of chemical and instruments available for practical.There are 44 students in one year class . Faculty have lots of educated teachers, students and researchers.Most of the teachers are phd passed.In our faculty there are lots of research projects are done like fish preservation methods, intensive,semi intensive farming,electro fishing etc.Teaching methods are also good teachers teach us through projectors and PPT slides. Exams are taken at the interval of 6 months. In one semester we have to pass both mid term and end term exam.The question is moderate level.

Placement Experience:

After getting Bfsc degree we are eligible for campus placement. Godrej & many other companies have visited. 12 lakhs per annum jobs are offered by Godrej. Almost every student gets placement. I want to be admission to Central University and continue for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Basically after graduation, students are eligible for campus placement.. companies like godrej, etc. are visited ... a very small percentage of students are getting this placement. after getting this degree, we plan to complete PG and Ph.D. as FEO is the only government job for this course. so we all the students depend on this job only otherwise company job or competitive exam.

From the 6th sem, the students are eligible for placement and it has a higher percentage of getting placement in recent years. After BFSC I must go for a PG degree for further studies and placements. The average package is 500000 to 600000 per year.
