Remarks :
In NIT Kurukshetra students get admission through national level tests like JEE Main. After qualifying for the JEE mains entrance exams. students need to appear for counselling sessions like JoSAA, and CSAB. In Josaa first, we fill colleges in preference vice and then there are 6 rounds of counselling. If you get the desired college in 1st round then you can lock that and then you will out the next 5 rounds and you'll get a seat in your desired college. Similarly, there is CSAB counselling which has 2 rounds. All the information about application forms and all you can get from Josaa. For a candidate who avails of reservation benefits, He/She gets a category rank and there admission process is done by that rank. If you take my opinion then I want more rounds of counselling in Josaa.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose electrical engineering because My interest was in Electrical engineering from school time and luckily I got admitted to that. The faculty ratio is quite good. All the faculty members are highly qualified Most of them are engineers and have done PHD and Mtech. In NIT Kurukshetra there 2 mid-term terms and 1 end-term examination in which mid-term are of 15 marks and end-semester exams are of 50 marks. Passing the exams is easy if you study daily what has been taught in class. The end sem exams can be easily passed if prepared the previous year's Papers.
Internships Opportunities :
NIT Kurukshetra has a summer internship placement process where companies offer internship opportunities. Successful internships may lead to pre-placement offers for full-time positions. But less number of students get internships. Top company hiring interns was Microsoft which took 5 students. Those students who don't get internships can make projects under any professor.
Placement Experience :
Placements are good enough. Students are eligible for campus placements from the final year of their course. There are many companies which visit my college let me tell you popular companies names like Google, Microsoft, etc. Almost 90% percent of students get placed which can very branch vice. My plan after getting a degree is to get placed in a good company.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees is bit high but yes it's less than the fees of any private college. You can grab scholarships as there are many scholarships State and there is National Scholarships for students which you can avail of yearly by applying to them. You Can get help from alumni they help you pay fees and than you can return it back to them when you get job. Campus jobs are good.
Campus Life :
Life at Campus is very nice You will enjoy exploring the campus as My college is a lush green campus having greenery everywhere which makes it very beautiful. There are many features in my campus like tech Spardha, Confluence etc. Where Confluence is the main fest of NIT Kurukshetra. You'll get to play many sports in college and if you are good in a particular sport then you can get a chance to play for the institute team. There are many clubs here Like ereck, Photo G etc. These clubs make students familiar with each other and develop skills in you.
