Remarks :
One should pass grades 10 and 12th with a handy percentage. One can find the application form on the website of Doon University. One should clear the entrance exam of Doon University to get admission to their preferred course. One can check details about fees and dates for their respective courses by going through the site of doon University. It is a pretty good university for language courses. By the way, I am pursuing b Com Hons from this university. But, the quality of teachers in our department is not up to the mark. Sports activities are also conducted at our university. Overall, it is a good university with better opportunities.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I was from a commerce background that's why I chose this course. I want to build my career in the commerce department or banking sector. The faculty-student ratio is 1:10. Some teachers are very helpful and brilliant in teaching while some others take their duty for granted. If you have a good bonding with the teacher you will understand everything better. Depends on student to student how he or she understands the teaching method of the teacher. I will say the method of teaching here is average as some teachers take their duty very seriously and others just take the duty for granted. Sem occurs in 2 to 3 months while the finals I'm exam occurs every 5 months. Some exams are very difficult to pass and some are very easy to pass as it depends on the teacher how the teacher prepares the exam.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Dun University is a semi-government University and its fees vary from course to course I will say that my course in Bcom Honours is 20000 per semester means 40000 yearly and we will be able to pursue our course in 1 lakh only. Students who come below the poverty line get financial aid or resistance from the university to pursue their studies it is a very beneficial step taken by Doon University as it promotes healthy education to the poor people who can't afford it. If you are a middle-class guy then this university is absolutely affordable for you. Companies like Hero Tata et cetera used to come here and they select deserving students from the campus to the jobs.
Campus Life :
There is one Holi fest in Doon University which is known as Fyoli and one Diwali fest which is known as Igas so I think Holi fest used to occur in the month of March and Diwali festivals occur in the month of November. There is one entrepreneurship club and one sports club in the university in which you can participate by joining these groups.
