Remarks :
The Eligibility of the course is scoring the highest CGPA i.e., 9.7 to 10 in the 10th standard and there is a reservation for PH, CAP, and Sports candidates. We can find the details of the application form, fees, and dates on the website www.rgukt.ac.in.
Course Curriculum Overview :
As I am interested in the field of Electronics and Communication I have chosen this course. I think the faculty-to-student ratio is low as the number of faculty are less when compared to the students. Qualification of the faculty is M. Tech, B. Tech who also pursue Ph.D. and they should qualify NET, SET. Before the pandemic, the duration for every term exam was 6 months after COVID-19 it has been reduced to 4 months.
Placement Experience :
From final year Sem1 placements will start. There is a separate portal provided by the campus where we have to register and apply for campus placements. Companies like Vassar Labs, MosChip, etc. are visited. The average package is 5lpa.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The Scholarship amount per year is 40000. And for the Global category students need to pay 1.5 lpa. And the students who don't get scholarships have to pay 40000. The students whose parents have government jobs do not get Scholarships.
Campus Life :
Since I joined the campus only in 2019 Tech Fest was held. In the library, there are all subject-related books and a few novels few story books and I haven't found any journals since I joined the campus. As usual, there is a board projector in the class. There is a sports club on campus and every year tournament takes place. NSS and NCC activities are encouraged. We can find an Instagram account named RGUKTstudentEkkada.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel rooms are somewhat better. Before there was a Wi-Fi facility in the hostel but now it is not there. Meal quality is also somewhat better but maximum we can find potato and brinjal in the mess. There is no registration process for a hostel. After counseling hostel rooms are allotted and pdf of it is shared in the hub which is managed by the campus
