"An Insightful Journey at Graphic Era University: A Student's Perspective"

Remarks :

The candidate should have passed the 10+2 examination or its equivalent with Physics, Math and Chemistry with 60% marks. consider reducing the application fee for economically weaker sections and conducting more awareness programs in rural areas to help more students from diverse backgrounds to apply. Additionally, the university could consider providing more options for candidates who are unable to appear for the exam due to various reasons.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The BTech CSE course at Graphic Era (Deemed to be) University offers a comprehensive curriculum, experienced faculty members, a good faculty-student ratio, and a timely evaluation process. With a strong focus on industry-relevant skills, this course prepares students for a successful career in computer science and engineering.

Internships Opportunities :

Graphic Era University offers internships with reputed companies like Microsoft, Amazon, IBM, TCS, Infosys, etc. Students are given real-time projects with guidance from industry mentors. Stipends are offered based on performance and duration. Students gain practical skills, knowledge and industry exposure. Research projects are also encouraged. Interns have given positive feedback about the experience.

Placement Experience :

campus placements are from the 6th semester. Reputed companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Wipro, and TCS visit the campus for placements, offering packages ranging on average from 3-15 lakhs per annum. The percentage of students getting placed is generally above 70%. If campus placements are not available, students can explore other options like internships or pursuing higher studies. I hope to get a placement from the university itself.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure at Graphic Era (Deemed to be) University is high and inaccessible to economically weaker students. Removal of scholarships due to poor academic performance is unfair. The policy of asking for fees in advance and imposing high fines can be challenging. The university should consider offering flexible payment options and more financial support to make education accessible to all.

Campus Life :

The campus life is vibrant with events like "Zealicon" and "Technotsav". The library is accessible, classrooms are equipped with projectors, and the infrastructure is commendable too. Sports facilities and clubs for music, dance, and drama are available. Social groups like "Graphic Era Social Network" offer networking opportunities for students.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facilities are comfortable with basic amenities like beds, study tables, Wi-Fi, laundry, and security. The mess serves vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian food on selected days with satisfactory quality and variety. Hostel fees is a little high with the somewhat strict rules, but registration is simple. Rented accommodation in the locality varies from single rooms to fully-furnished apartments, and a decent locality with markets and messes for food.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose BTech CSE because it's a growing field and has lots of scope in the future. GEHU has a lot of faculty for every 5-7 students one teacher is there at approx 1:5. And the faculty are well-qualified Ph.D. and some are from reputed IITs and there teaching methods are quite well. If you just study the teacher's main point and take their notes seriously you can pass exams.
