Remarks :

Admission process is quite simple,there are many options for taking admission in Tezpur University either by entrance exam i.e JEE or by direct admission like North East quota and admission on the basis of 12th marks by applying admission form online. I have been admitted here through JEE 2022 other state quot. I got 85%ile under obc NCL quota. It's cutoff for taking admission is quite average one with medium rank can get a seat here. I have allotted civil engineering in school of engineering tezpur with a rank of 133832 crl , through csab . Earlier admission for civil branch was as low as if you got a rank of 225000 crl rank then also you could have been got admitted here under obc NCL quota But now it has improved alot cutoff for civil itself have raised and got closed at 177000 crl also placement offers are increasing year by year. If you are taking direct admission you could find application on tezpur University official website in admission section. It will cost you only 500 rs.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Cource curriculum is good and updated as per Central government guidelines. There are excellent facilities teaching us professors are highly qualified PhD mainly from IITS and post doctoret from foreign universities and also very Interactive and always manage to solve any problem faced by us whether it's academic or personal. There is 7:1 student- faculty . Term exams are held timely and results for every exam is published within assigned date. And if one just even focus on classes it is very easy to qualify every term exams. Also lab and other activities are done regularly. There is a mendate of 75% attendence in every course in order to sit in examination..

Internships Opportunities :

There are many companies offering internship both paid and unpaid . For civil department psu like NHIDCL have provided paid internship to students during summer Holidays with a stipend of 10000 per month.

Placement Experience :

Placement rate of school of engineering tezpur is not so great as compared to nits but still it has a decent placement rate with and from 6th semester i.e 3rd year one is eligible to sit for placement and if you are skilled then there's high chance of getting you placed. CSE=6lpa with 90% placement rate Civil=4.22lpa with 60% placement rate Mech=5.5 lpa with 35% placement rate ECE= 4.93lpa with 80% placement rate Electrical=4.71 with 40% placement rate FET=4.19 with 32% placement rate

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fee structure of this university is very financially feasible as it is a Central University. It cost only 35000 for B-Tech program for 1st semester and after it 26984 for all upcoming semesters. Usually there is no fee hike as it is a Central University. Normally scholarship is available for assam students only from University. But placement here is decent here with an average package of 4.9 lpa. For cse avg is 6 lpa with placement rate of 90% Civil=4.22 lpa. With placement rate of 60% Mechanical= 5.5 lpa. Placement rate of 35% Ece=4.93 lpa. Placement rate of 80% Electrical=4.71 lpa. Placement rate of 40% Fet=4.19 lpa placement rate of 32%

Campus Life :

Campus Life is awesome here with large lush green campus and many clubs and sports ground. Like football ground,tennis court, cricket ground, basketball court,etc There are many events taking place every time like tech fest ,annual fest, cultural programs ,etc There is a big library named Central library it is connected with wopec system with collection of more than 150000 books, journals and academic books and also have online Library of books with thousands of national international books. Taking about classroom every class is equipped with smart class and quality of classroom are with excellent facilities.

Hostel Facilities :

There are many hostel in campus about 13 hostel including girls and boys hostel. Hostal facilities are A Grade there are many hostel in university like Saraighat CV Raman, TMH1, Nilachal, etc all hostel with 2 bed accommodation and dormetry. Scvraman hostel is especially for PhD scholar and toppers of every course only here single bed accommodation is provided with top class facilities. Other than it every hostel has great mess in affordable price ranges from 1900-2200 per month. Also there is no ragging in any of its hostel or in campus. Hostel it allotted to you at the time of admission and if you want to change your hostel you also get this option through DSW Office with a valid reason.

Placement Experience:

From 3 years you can apply for placement. The highest package for this year is 44 LPA, and the average is around 10 LPA. Nearly 25-30 companies visited this year. The percentage of placement is around 60 percent. Although the percentage is low if you have a talent you can apply for off-campus. I would like to have a placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like technological courses, especially civil engg. course because it is very much interesting for me. The faculties here are very good and experienced with a faculty-student ratio of 1:8. Quality of the faculties is excellent, Method of teaching is very student-centric, so understanding any subject matter is not at all a problem. Most of the faculties are doctorates as well as they have experience in research papers, publication etc

Placement Experience:

On on-campus placement, the cell is here which is capable of bringing many companies for placement inside the campus although the package is not high (4 to 5 lakh on average). One can prepare for govt jobs and can prepare for competitive exams also.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to be placed after the 6th semester. Most of the major companies visit the college and make a good number of offers. Foreign offers are usually above 1cr and domestic packages are a bit less compared to them. IT companies are first to make offers followed by Automobile and Electronics. The highest Package is about 2.2 Cr offered in the role of Quant Analyst. The majority of high packages are provided for Software Engineer Roles by IT companies like FAANGM in India. The percent of students placed is nearly 96 to 98% of the students that register for the placement process. I will try to get placed as a software engineer in the placement.

The average placement of our department last year was about 4.93LPA and almost 80% of students got placed. The placement scenario is changing and good companies have started to visit the campus post covid. Many PSU too comes for direct recruitment. Students in the core branch either prepare for GATE or aim for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Almost all students are placed who study hard in college.placement percentage is less but considering north east quota having 60% students admitted also on 200000 to 500000 rank placement is good if you neglect those students.Keep in mind if you study well here then you will end up getting job after 4 years.If you don't study well then you might not get job.so come in this college only when you are sure that you will study.

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING TU OVERVIEW

Placement Experience:

The campus placement percentage of BTech in mechanical is about 70%. the average package of ME is about 6 lpa. several national and international companies like Luit minerals, cognizant technology solutions, Edventure, tech Mahindra, Infosys etc. come here to recruit every year. the highest package of ME is about 36 lakh lpa recruited by Infosys. total 268 offers are given by companies up to now. Students can sit in the campus placement cell from the 7th semester. some of the PSU companies like OIL INDIA, BHEL, power grid etc. come to recruit here. My plan after completing my BTech degree is to join PSU companies either by campus placement or by GATE scores.
