Remarks :
I got a rank of 57k in KCET and got into this college in the second round of selection. The college was accepting applicants with a rank between 40k to 60k. You have to enquire about admission by calling the office people or going directly to college. The online service is not very good here. There are reservation benefits for SC, ST, and other cast people but not for general. I wish there was a more easy online application for admission than traveling far to get admission to this college. As I said I travel for an hour to reach this college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose the Information Science Engineering course as I had an interest in going towards this field and enhancing my knowledge. The faculty here is average. But there are some really nice teachers too who put their 100% into teaching. But sometimes the faculties don't complete the portions on time leaving more burden on students to study for exams by themselves and get pass marks.
Placement Experience :
From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. 70-80 companies visit the college and 80% of deserving students who worked hard by themselves get placed. The college doesn't have much hands in training the students well for placements. The highest package is 9LPA. The average package is 3-4 LPA. 70% of students get placed. After finishing my degree I have plans to do the job and earn and gather more practical knowledge.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I have a defense scholarship under KCET. Other than that the management fees are too high compared to the quality of education provided here. I apply for an SSP scholarship where I get refunded half of my fees under the defense quota. The placement here is average but is trying to improve. The min package here is 3LPA.
Campus Life :
The only fest they conduct is a national-level project exhibition for the final year's project. Other than that there is no fest being conducted here. The college doesn't provide enough funding to the students to conduct activities for students. The students have to use their own money to conduct such activities. The books in the library are old and fewer. There's no update on the books. Classrooms have old I 'll-mannered benches. It sometimes gives me back pain. There's a very small ground for sports where we can play only volleyball and throwball and kho kho nothing else. Very poor infrastructure for sports and no support for sports for students. This makes students very uninterested and lazy.
