So Good!!

Remarks :

I took admitted to the CSE branch through the COMEDK exam in 2019. the cutoff at my time for CSE was a 15K rank but now as the ranking of the college is degrading due to obvious reasons it became a 30K-35K rank. you just have to give the COMEDK exam if you're not from Karnataka or Hyderabad. the fees for COMEDK students are triple that of KCET students. The KCET exam is only for Karnataka-Hyderabad students.

Course Curriculum Overview :

the course we're studying is outdated. we're studying the 2018 scheme and it's almost 2023, even the new 1st year students are studying the same scheme. talking about the faculty, we have a total of 15-20 teachers in CSE to teach all 4 years of students which is almost 800-1000 students. it is better than the ISE branch though they have around 10-12 teachers only. the faculties are well qualified but more than half of them don't know how to teach. on the other hand, some teachers like shanthala mam are extraordinary in teaching but no one here will support you in anything, they'll just make you run for even small things. this year our principal is changed and the new principal Mr. bhimsen soragaon is the worst one, in terms of humanity as well as communication skills. he has no manners whatsoever. his one and only goal is to somehow extract extra money from students in terms of fines and whatnot.

Placement Experience :

the placements are by far better than anything else in here. even if you're an average student you'll get a placement of 5 to 7 lacs and that's a decent amount as a fresher. In CSE/ISE there's 100% placement even in ECE/EI there's almost 90% placement. so many startups visit our campus offering salaries like 6 lacs-8 lacs. the placements start from the start of the 4th year and continue till the end of it. the highest CTC offered till now is Rs 14.8 lacs by kickdrum, they took 6 students from our college.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

the fee structure for JSSATEB is different for different sets of students. students who are from outside Karnataka and Hyderabad came through the COMEDK exam and the fee structure for that is around Rs 2,40,000/- per year. for Karnataka-Hyderabad students who came through the KCET exam, it is Rs 95000/- per year and for management students, it is around Rs 500000/- extra overall after your college fees payment. coming to placements, the placements here are average. you'll easily get placed at 5 lacs to 6 lacs but there are certain rules on placement activities that will refrain you to get higher placements even if you're a brilliant student. one you get placed at some package then you can only sit for exams that are double the CTC offered to you so once you get paced at 5 lacs or 6 lacs you can't sit for 10 or 12 lacs and there are very less company here that come for that high packages. the internship opportunities from college are almost null. you have to get it yourself off campus.

Campus Life :

if you're looking for campus life, don't come here try for the top 3 colleges of COMEDK. we only have one big fest here called VERVE that is the only time when you feel like you're actually in college and if you'll participate in any activities of VERVE your teachers will shout at you for attendance and not attending classes. they'll make you run for permissions. apart from that, we have really good clubs like meraki-drama club, dhwani-music club, x_revolution- western dance etc. although it is really tough to get into them because they only take pros in so if you're that good at something then welcome to the best part of JSSATEB. the sports activities are dead here, there are teams for everything but there are no proper practices and no coach for guiding and so there's no surprise that we don't win anywhere. the coding environment is also almost dead, some students work really hard to make it alive but it never worked in my 4 years of college.

Hostel Facilities :

the HOSTEL is the worst part of this college. the fees are increasing year by year and the facilities and quality of food are decreasing day by day. it's more like a prison, there are two wardens and they both are extremely strict about everything. not months from now there was a cockroach in our food and no actions were taken against that because you're on your own. no one will listen to anything here. they just know one thing how to increase the fees and take fines in any way possible. we even had a suicide in our hostel and trust me when I say no one bothered about it. the matter was closed in 2 days like it never happened.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As this course has not much different from computer science and engineering and it has additional courses for design. The faculty is well-educated and most of the professors are with PhD degrees. The exams are conducted every week and the difficulty level is moderate

From the 5th-semester companies start to hire for summer internships, and by end of the 7th, the placement process will almost be over. Samsung, Bosch, and Fidelity these are the companies visited so far for internships, and many more companies are yet to come. The highest package that was recorded last year was 52LPA and the Average for our department is around 7LPA. Mostly all companies that visit our college hire for SDE roles. The placement percentage for our branch is 90%. I am also willing to get placed in good company by the end of my course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to be an engineer that's why I chose this course. Student 21 and teachers 12 it's the ratio. Teachers are very well qualified but lack the experience that's why teachers join our college to get some experience The teaching is good and smart classes are available. Sem exams are conducted after every 4 months and 3 internals are conducted. Its somewhat difficult to pass the exams, If you study a bit you can pass them.
