What is the admission process for enrollment into the Hospitality Program?

The following steps need to be followed to apply for admission in Hospitality Program:

Step 1: Register for the Program @shm.nmims.edu

Step 2: The school will conduct the following rounds:

  • Written Test (Duration 120 minutes, total 100 marks) – It would be a Multiple-Choice test. (No Descriptive type questions)
  • Personal Interview (total 50 marks)

The institute will conduct the written Test & Personal Interview at any of the campuses - Navi Mumbai and Mumbai, based on the preferred location mentioned by the candidate. The test centre may get changed, based on the availability of seats in the respective location.

Step 3: Candidates are required to be present in person for the admission process.

  1. Aptitude for Service Sector
  2. Reasoning & logical Deductions
  3. English Languages
  4. General Knowledge & Current Affairs

Each section consists of 25 questions for 25 marks which makes the written test of 100 marks for 100 questions.

The briefing is one such good practice, wherein, students are motivated to come forward and share their knowledge on a particular skill, tool or practice relevant to the hotel industry every day. They are appreciated for their hard work and are often provided certificates on the successful completion of the task. In each semester, special classes on Culinary, F&B Services, Housekeeping and other departments are conducted, wherein, students are allowed to participate and learn the dynamic skill of bakery, flaring, bartending, towel art, buffet management, flower decoration etc. In-house events are incomplete without the student's role & efforts, hence, the departmental clubs take the charge of handling all the activities happening within the campus, which also allows them to observe and learn the job practically.
