The FPM admissions process is generally fluid and changes from year to year. When it comes to the RAT exam, you don't need to know anything more than 10th-grade math for the quantitative section.

The questions will be of the puzzle variety, with the level of difficulty increasing as you progress. The questions are relatively simple, and no amount of practice will help because the questions are all different. So the good thing about the quantitative part is that you don't have to do any practice. It will be useless.

In the qualitative section, you will be given a short essay of 3-4 pages to critically analyze. It is optional to practice a few passage-based questions. In most cases, you will be asked to complete either the qualitative or quantitative portion, but not both. Few academic groups will specify whether you must attempt the qualitative or quantitative parts, while others will leave the decision up to the candidates.
