None of the IITs now compete with international institutions. IIT Kharagpur is a great option only if your future plans include moving to India. IITs are not as valuable as premier institutions in the US, UK, France, and Switzerland globally. There are various reasons for Harvard to stay in the upper hand that Indian institutions, they are as follows:

• Academic excellence: IIT Kharagpur is not ranked as one of the top engineering institutions in the world in terms of reputation or ranking. Both universities provide access to Silicon Valley or Boston. So, in conclusion, selecting Harvard over IIT Kharagpur offers global recognition, a diverse learning environment, and access to a broad range of fields. However, financial costs and cultural adjustments are important factors to consider. Ultimately, the decision hinges on individual goals and priorities, weighing Harvard's prestige against personal circumstances.

Both institutes are well-reputed and suitable for higher studies. But it is not possible to compare Harvard with JNU, as they both follow completely different structures and curricula. Harvard University stands out in terms of good academics, infrastructure, faculties, placement, and ranking. 

JNU has a pulsating student culture, as they have various clubs and student-led organizations that result in the active participation of students in cultural and political activities. The students became socially oriented, and they should have a significant commitment to our society.  

Both of them are unique and renowned.

ISc-Bengaluru is considered the fastest-rising South Asian university, inching closer to the global Top 150, having gained 31 places to 155 in this year's QS World University Rankings. It remains the world's top research university, ahead of Harvard, Princeton University, and MIT.
