Which new IIM (IIM Ranchi, IIM Udaipur, IIM Raipur, IIM Rohtak, IIM Trichy, etc.) is best for MBA Finance in terms of education and placements?

All IIMs will flourish and help to develop the area they are located in. As far as my knowledge is concerned, it pertains mainly to IIM Udaipur. My friends who studied at IIM Udaipur have luckily received some of the best top-notch faculty in finance and a few other fields. 

• The director of the college, Prof. Janat Shah, was an alumnus of IIM Bangalore before being appointed as director here. You will see that most of the faculty is from IIM Bangalore.
• IIM Ahmedabad, being in close proximity, also sends some visiting faculty. 
• Many professors are also alumni of really good colleges like Nanyang Technical University in Singapore, Michigan University, USA as well as Purdue University, USA.

• Finomina, the finance club, helps the students get acquainted with all the events pertaining to finance through the Fin-Elixir magazine. 
• You can also participate in a number of national quizzes and events as far as the finance domain is concerned.
• For labs, IIM Udaipur has 12 Bloomberg terminals equipped in a Bloomberg Lab where you will get to work with some of the best software that you might need for financial assignments, projects, and your research.

The college has also bagged the second runner-up prize in the national level credit research challenge which was organized by the National Institute of Securities Management. The college was among the best B schools to have participated in this event.
