Tech giant Apple Inc. participated in the 2017 placement drive of IIIT Hyderabad. They first hosted a coding test. It was arranged by HackerRank. The coding test had two coding questions and a few MCQs. After the coding test, they shortlisted around 35 students for interviews. The interview questions were pretty straightforward. They mostly recruited students in Product Development and R&D job profiles.
In the year 2017, IIIT Hyderabad became the first Indian engineering college from where Apple hired programmers during campus placement. More than 350 students (from BTech, BE, MTech, and MSc research fields) of the institute registered for Apple.

Students who are well-versed with Python are preferred for product development and research and development profiles.
