I am getting ECE at NIT Jalandhar, ME at PEC Chandigarh, and BITS at Mesra Ranchi. My rank is near 13000. What should I choose, considering future prospects?

One of my cousins is from PEC Chandigarh. So I know about the situation here. It is a simple answer that you should go for Mechanical in PEC Chandigarh. Because PEC is the second-best institute in northern India, after DTU.

And the rank at which you are getting Mechanical is the rank at which you would not have gotten Production Engineering in PEC a year ago because PEC has increased the number of seats in each branch.
