If I got in a dual degree in BITS Pilani, can I transfer to B.Tech in BITS Pilani?
Yes, you can transfer from a dual degree to a B.E degree in BITS Pilani. The degree program offered by BITS Pilani is as follows.
- BE only
- MSc only
- BE +MSc
- BE+BE
- MSc+MSc
After completing the first year, you can transfer from one of these programs to another. But the required CG is quite higher for transfer. Usually, it stays above 9.5.

One of my friends graduated from BITS Pilani and according to him BITS does not provide a B.Tech degree but offers a BE (Bachelor in Engineering). To answer your question, yes you can transfer to BE from a dual degree program.
You have to keep some things in mind:
- You cannot get into BITS Pilani, as you need to write BITSAT which contains a section named "English and Logical Reasoning".
- In the worst scenario, if you manage to come to BITS, you still can not transfer to B.Tech as BITS provides only BE courses.
- If you want a transfer to BE, then yes, this is possible at BITS Pilani.
