What is the dress code for B.Tech students at NIT Calicut?

It is nowhere explicitly mentioned what the dress code actually is. You will be told to dress decently. Thus, your attire should be decent and proper.

Having said that, you will find certain people attaching their own meanings to it and will explicitly mention what the dress code should actually be. For example, “Dress properly. Half of trousers/shorts are not allowed in NSL.” is clearly mentioned by the Network Systems Lab.

No dress code is enforced on the students. Whatever they feel comfortable in, keeping in mind that it goes with the Indian cultural norms, students are free to choose their clothes.

In the first year, the boys are generally told to keep short hair and wear formals to the classes by the seniors as a part of ragging. This makes it easy to identify a first-year student and is quite fun on a lighter note.
