MBA from K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research

KJ Somaiya isn’t a good option for MBA. The college has lost its reputation in the management domain, over the past few years. The college has increased its fees. For MBA program, KJ Somaiya fees are INR 18.79 lakhs.

It doesn’t offer a good ROI. The average CTC offered is around INR 10 LPA, according to the 2022 placements. Students are usually offered roles like RM, Analyst, etc.

When pursuing an MBA, it is important to do it from the top 20 colleges, or not do it at all. And so, K J Somaiya definitely does not fall in the top 20 colleges of India. However, it is one of the best that exists in Mumbai.

So, if you feel that you can get into the top 20 colleges in the next year, then you should wait for it. On the other hand, if you are sure that you would not be able to make it, then it is important to question yourself as to what is your motive behind doing an MBA.

Like everyone, you have the same motive that is – a good job and a good package, then K J Somaiya would not be a great option. You will have to get admitted to the top colleges and stay there to get a decent salary.

As per the current scenario for MBA graduates, the supply far exceeds the demand for good-paying jobs. Therefore, it is advisable to rethink if you wish to do an MBA. If you still get yes as an answer and take up K J Somaiya, then you will have to put in a lot of hard work and loads of effort in the long run and that too, for a long time. You will reach where you want to but through a much longer route.
