When talking about NIT Raipur; yes it is one of the best amongst all the 31 NITs. With its campus area covered in 100 acres it’s small and elegant. Apart from infrastructure, the college gives the best exposure for interns and placements. The placement of NIT Raipur is increasing every year and core companies come for branch-like mechanical engineering and Software companies’ for IT/CSE department.

Apart from this, it has its own pros and cons:

It is a very small campus and does not have campus area as big as other NITs when compared.
It does not provide hostel for all of its students because of the lack of hostel buildings.
Only 25% of the total students reside in the hostels. The other takes private rooms outside.
All the branches are in one block. No separate blocks are present for respective branches.
As there are no hostel facilities, so students are allowed to bring vehicles to the premises. This gives an advantage to the students.
Only 5 of the 12 branches get filled totally. There are mostly vacant seats in other branches. This makes a good thing for the placement scenario.

There is a railway station nearby which is a disturbance. But in near future, the campus might shift to Naya Raipur. So, having an overview of NIT Raipur; overall IT is a college to opt for. It is growing at a good pace and will grow more in the upcoming future.
