How advantageous is a dual degree in IIITM Gwalior?

You have joined IIITM because your rank was not good enough for top-ranked institutes. Though I deeply believe that IIITM is the best college you can get for 10k-20 (General) and 20k-40k (OBC) in JEE Mains.

One of my friends is an alumnus of this college and he has often spoken about how this college has produced some of the finest engineers and managers. Also providing you with all possible facilities but still, some students criticize it. You simply can not blame the institute for something you didn't do.

We must get out of the mindset, where we think that everything would be spoon-fed to us. As a student, who got an internship in Amazon and was unable to convert this opportunity. You can't blame the institute after this. The college provides you with the opportunity to work in one of the biggest companies in the world. 

Let see some of the advantages of IIITM:

1. The institute provided you with enough time to groom your ideas and work upon them.
2. Research work is great here. The alumni are working on some great ideas. It takes some time to get recognized in the industry and once the alumni get recognized, the college will surely groom them.
3. Placements can improve a bit. The institute is lacking a dedicated placement cell and needs to work upon it. But again you can't compare it with the likes of top IITs and NITs.

We can thus conclude that this college is for those who dare to guide their career. Though, work hard to get a good rank in Mains and try for some other top colleges. Finally, to conclude I don't think IIITM deserves this criticism and it is a great college for those who don't need spoon-feeding.
