IIT Bhubaneswar placements for Civil Engineering have been excellent for the past few years. Students got recruited core job profiles in reputed PSUs like IOCL, HPCL, etc. Here are the highlights of the placements for Civil branch.

Lowest CTC | INR 5 LPA |
Students also get recruited in non-core job profiles. Companies such as Wipro, TATA Motors, L&T Construction etc. allow Civil Engineering students to take part in the placement.
The placement scenario for B.Tech graduates in Civil Engineering is quite good which is reflected in the placement scenario of 2020. Amongst 26 students who opted to sit in placement drive, 16 got placed in PSUs like IOCL, HPCL including others. Other students got placed in revered MNCs including Tata Projects, L&T, and others.
Notably, the percentage of students from civil engineering getting placed has been showing a steep rise since 2017. While 52 percent of the students got placed in 2017, the percentage rose to 62 percent in 2018. In 2019-20, the percentage rate was 89 percent for Civil Engineering.
Also, about 65 percent of M.Tech students got placed which included a considerable number from the civil branch as well. So, on an overall scale, the placement scenario in the civil engineering branch at IIT Bhuvaneswar is quite impressive and is at par with the placement scenario in top IITs of the country. Considering the stagnation that the infrastructure sector in India has been facing, IIT Bhuvaneswar has been doing a great job of ensuring placements in the branch of Civil Engineering.
