Which one is better: IEM Kolkata or Kalyani?

If you are not concerned about spending money in a private institute, IEM is your choice or else it’s your personal choice to choose government engineering college KGEC over IEM in West Bengal.

• IEM Kolkata is a far better option than Kalyani Government Engineering College. As, IEM is the best private college in West Bengal.
• IEM ranks 79 according to MHRD rating.
• Almost all product based companies like ARW, Adobe, Directi, Amazon, Samsung R&D, Service Now etc visit the campus for the recruitment.
• Also, IEM gives a handful of internship opportunities to its students after completion of 3rd year.
• And the faculty of IEM is good.

On the other hand, Kalyani Government Engineering is also good and situated outside the main city and has its own campus with its quality labs and infrastructure.

• The major issue the college faces is that many companies wouldn't visit for the recruitment.
• Only mass recruiter companies such as TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, Wipro visit the campus for recruitment.
• So, you will get a limited opportunity for the placement point of view. And also, IEM located in the main city gets more exposure than that of KGEC.

Also, IEM gives exposure to different workshops and seminars related to various fields such as entrepreneurship, competitive coding, Artificial intelligence, Machine Learning, How to write research papers and publish it in an international conference etc. I don’t think Kalyani Government Engineering Colleges would give this kind of exposure to fields as such.
