CUSAT CAT has an easy to moderate level of difficulty in its question set every year. If you have an interest in the School of Engineering at CUSAT and from a General category, then you need a rank within 5000. Getting a rank in between 5000 is not at all difficult.

The division of question in CUSAT CAT is given below.

Subject

Number of Questions

Mathematics

125

Physics

75

Chemistry

50

There are a few methods that can be helpful for the preparation of CUSAT CAT and some of them are listed below.

  • The Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry textbooks of CBSE for 11th and 12th should be followed thoroughly to clear basic concepts.
  • There are several previous year CAT papers available in the market easily. Those can be practiced for getting an idea about the level of difficulty.
  • Solving the papers would be an excellent practice. If it is not followed due to lack of MCQ solving skills, checking the solution, learning the answers, and memorizing can still give some aid for preparation.
  • There are several questions repeated every year and can be solved easily.

These small points will help you to fetch a rank in between 5000 at CAT easily, which is usually enough for an engineering seat.

It is must be noted that CUSAT is not the best-ranked college in Kerala. You can look for better institutes like IITs/NITs or other prime colleges in the state.
