DSSSB PGT is a recruitment exam conducted for the post of Post Graduate Teacher by DSSSB.

Strategy and Books for preparing for DSSSB PGT exam:

  • Buy NCERT books or purchase books subject wise in order to prepare for the general knowledge section.
  • Refer to newspapers for the general knowledge section. 
  • Use your post-graduation study material for the subject- concerning section,
  • Go through teaching methodology and refer to pedagogy books available online.
  • Refer to any two books from accomplished writers for the maths and reasoning section. Practice on a regular basis for the quantitative section. Cover the basics, and solve all the questions 
  • Try to solve last year papers and sample papers to get a good idea about the type of questions you will get, especially for the language section.

Exam Syllabus for DSSSB PGT:

  • The exam is divided into two sections: Section A and Section B. 
  • Section A is of 200 marks and includes multiple-choice questions related to subjects like General Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, Hindi Language and Comprehension and English Language and Comprehension.
  • Section B is of 100 marks and includes multiple-choice questions related to postgraduate qualification and teaching methodology. 

There is no specific way to prepare for competitive exams like DSSSB so try to be patient, consistent and regular with your preparation if you want to crack the paper.
