studied at Aligarh Muslim University

Aligarh Muslim University offers decent engineering courses. The course fee is nominal. The total course fees for B.Tech is around INR 10.63 lakhs. Departments like Mechanical and Electrical have good infrastructure. The faculty base for engineering is pretty good. Most of the faculty members have years of experience in teaching.

AMU engineering placements are decent. Students with good academic records get desired salary packages. Some of the major recruiters for the institute are Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Adobe, etc.

B.Tech Mechanical Engineering, Aligarh Muslim University (2019)

Aligarh Muslim University is good when compared to other private colleges. Discussed below are a few of the important features of the engineering programs at Aligarh Muslim University.

Faculty:

The faculty comprises some good teachers who are excellent in their field of work. There are some moderate teachers as well whose performance is not remarkable.

Labs and Workshop:

  • The workshops conducted by the university are quite good.
  • Also, the labs at the university are well-equipped with one steam-boiler engine, hydraulic labs filled with all kinds of equipment and turbines, and one diesel-fired boiler.

Student Crowd:

Coming to the topic of students, Aligarh University plays host to various types of students.

  • Here you can find students who are engaged in several co-curricular activities and preparing for CAT, GRE, etc.
  • Also, students who top the examinations without attending a single class.

Placements:

AMU does not have a good placement record for engineering.

Only, few famous IT companies like TCS, Accenture, Adobe visit the campus placements. The students have little to do with the placement situation, the problem is with the management.

The tables below will give you a brief overlook of the engineering courses offered by the college.

The academics at the institute is quite good and you won’t need further coaching if you are planning to go for Govt. jobs. The college notes alone, are enough. Many of my classmates are working at ONGC, IOCL, NPCIL, CIL, SAIL, BHEL, NTPC, BARC, BEL, etc. Four of my friends also got selected in IES from the Civil branch.
