You will need to bring basic amenities like bedding, books, clothes, etc. Here are some of the things that you can add to your checklist of things to carry with you.

  • Bed cover, mosquito net, mattress, pillow.
  • Table lamp, bucket, mug, broom, lock, and key.
  • Some casual and formal clothes. It’s also best to bring warm clothes for the winter.
  • You should bring your laptop too. 
  • You can bring your bike or cycle too.

  • Some casual clothes for daily wear and some Formals for interviews, events, etc.
  • Daily necessity items like Bedsheet, Mug, Bucket, Lock & Key, Table Lamp, Mopping accessories
  • You may bring Mosquito-net. IIT BHU campus having lush greenery, it has become a hub for mosquitos.
  • You can bring your own pillows and mattresses. Though, these are available on the campus itself too.
  • All the important documents like Mark Sheet (10th and 12th ), JEE Admit Card, Fee Receipt Aadhar Card, etc. along with a photocopy of each.
  • A minimum of 20 passport size photographs.
  • It might be recommended to bring warm clothing for use from November to January.
  • You are usually not allowed to stay outside of the hostel. So, keep the things which you would have required while staying at home. (Mess and canteen are there)
  • Electronic items like Laptop or any other devices since there is 24×7 internet connectivity 
  • Means of transportation like Bike or bicycle if you want, for your convenience in transportation
  • If you are interested in pursuing music you can bring musical instruments like Guitar etc.
  • Though Books are issued from the library you can bring some important ones.
  • If you have worked on any project like Robotics, Computer or anything related in your field, then bring those tools.
  • Accessories for Sports activities
  • Stationery + Other daily needed items. You can also buy from the “Lanka Market”
  • After reaching the campus, the roads are very similar in many kinds, so, you should remember the important landmarks which you see, while going anywhere. Staff and Students (seniors et all) on campus are very co-operative.
