Which is better: NIT Meghalaya, IIIT Manipur or NIT Manipur?

NIT Meghalaya ranks 61st for BTech by NIRF 2020. 104 students were placed in the 2018-2019 placement program conducted by the institute. It is accredited by AICTE.

IIIT Manipur is an autonomous university established under MHRD. It has a faculty strength of 13 members and a student population of 107.

NIT Manipur ranks 158th for BTech by NIRF 2020. It is recognized by UGC and AICTE. It has a 300+ acres campus area. It has a faculty strength of 70 members most of them being highly qualified and PhD holders.

Admission Details - 

• Applicants should have at least 75% in their 10+2 qualifying exams.
• For MTech applicants 60% in BTech or BE is required.
• NIT Meghalaya conducts a written examination and interview for postgraduate applicants.
• Qualifying for JoSAA counselling process will be based on the applicants merit.

Placements 

NIT Meghalaya 

• 80 companies participated in the placement and made 103 offers.
• Top Companies like Accenture, Wipro, Infosys, Bosch, Vedanta, Cortex, Sapient, Polaris and many more participated in the placement program of NIT Meghalaya.

NIT Manipur

• A total of 20 companies visited the campus
• 50 students were placed through the placement program in NIT Manipur. 
• The companies are Microsoft, Wipro, Accenture, Infosys, IBM, Capgemini, etc.

IIIT Manipur

• Placement in IIIT Manipur is very low. 

• The companies that participated in the placement program are IBM, Hashroot, Google Summer of Code, Antares Tech, Chegg, etc.

Facilities 

IIIT Manipur 

• They have proper hostel facilities.
• The whole campus is wifi enabled.
• They also provide library facilities to all the students.

NIT Meghalaya

• It has a 300 acres of campus area.
• They have a faculty of 93 members 85 of them being PhD holders.
• They have a central library, computer centres, state of art classrooms, healthcare and sports facilities.

NIT Manipur

• They have 2 boys and 1 girls hostel.
• They have sports grounds and courts.
• They provide Healthcare facilities.
• The campus has a central library.
• It also consists of an ATM.

NIT Meghalaya has considerably better records in placements, salary packages, participation of top companies, etc. It would be a better choice among these. But it completely depends on the student’s choice to choose which college to study in.
