Which college would be better for marketing, IMT Ghaziabad or NMIMS Mumbai?

For marketing, NMIMS Mumbai is better. It has a great faculty pool for marketing. As Mumbai houses many MNCs, it's easy to get good exposure and placement opportunities. For placement, major sectors come for marketing, i.e. FMCG, FMCD, E-Commerce, Retail, etc. During NMIMS Mumbai placements 2021, FMCD/FMCG/Retail sector offered the highest CTC of INR 25 LPA.

NMIMS Mumbai offers MBA Marketing as distance learning option, while IMT Ghaziabad offers on campus PGDM in Marketing. NMIMS ranks 57th by NIRF, on the other hand, IMT ranks 38th. PGDM in Marketing is IMT’s flagship program so the stats are better.

  • Main subjects offered include human resource management, marketing management, finance management, entrepreneurship, etc.

Placements:

NMIMS Mumbai:

  • Students from the program go on to become market researchers, brand managers, marketing managers as well as PR managers.
  • Some of the partner organizations include Eminent Land, Michelin, Mindtree, Tata, Vivo India, Wockhardt, etc.

IMT Ghaziabad:

While NMIMS offers placement aid as the course is a distance learning programme and no direct placements are offered. However, fee wise, IMT Ghaziabad is more expensive, as enrolled students can avail on-campus facilities and exposure. Students can consider other aspects like faculty as well when making a decision.
