IIIT Hyderabad PGEE examination paper isn’t too difficult. You can score well if you are familiar with technical subjects. You should also have a good command on English and aptitude as well. For the technical section, the question asked are similar to GATE questions. While preparing for the examination go through GATE papers. It will help you prepare better. Practice aptitude problems and English questions as well.

Exam Pattern:

  • The PGEE exam conducted by IIIT Hyderabad is an online exam with a total duration of 3 Hours. The exam is conducted in two parts, each having a duration of 90 minutes respectively.
  • Part one of the exam constitutes a General Aptitude paper whereas, part two is a subjective paper. Both of these parts are conducted with English as their medium.

Part 1 – General Aptitude:

  • The general aptitude section of IIITH PGEE tests the students on four main areas, namely – Logical Reasoning, Basic Aptitude, Mathematics, and Basic Questions on Computers.
  • The paper has 45 questions of 1 mark each and no negative marking is done in this exam. However, the students are required to obtain a minimum cut-off score in this exam in order to be eligible for giving the subjective part of PGEE.

Part 2 – Subjective:

  • The subjective part tests the students on the subjects studied by them at graduation level, namely – Computer Science, Mathematics, Structural Engineering, Electronics, and Communication Engineering.
  • There are a total of 25 questions in this section, each of 1 mark.

The students are selected for the final interview on the basis of marks obtained in both parts of the exam. There is no negative marking in any of the sections of IIITH PGEE. However, the students appearing for this exam should be well versed in the technical subjects as well.
