How are the placements for M.Tech students in IIIT Hyderabad?

The official data is available for 2022 placements at IIIT Hyderabad.

During 2022, out of the three M.Tech specializations, highest placements were achieved by CSE. Even the highest CTC was bagged by CSE students, among all the three specializations. M.Tech CSE and CSIS received 100% placements during 2022.

IIIT Hyderabad M.Tech placements are pretty good for branches like CSE, ECE. Recruiting companies offer equal opportunities to all students. But it’s difficult for M.Tech students to compete with B.Tech students as they are usually better at problem-solving.

During the 2021 placement drive, the highest and lowest CTC received by the M.Tech students were INR 45 LPA and INR 8 LPA. Last year, 129 M.Tech students registered for placements, and 119 students received job offers.

M.Tech Civil students face difficulties in terms of placements.

The university offers M.Tech courses in 4 specializations –Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Science and Information Security, Computer-Aided Structural Engineering, and Bioinformatics.

IIT Hyderabad has a good and consistent placement record with many prestigious companies frequently visiting the campus for recruitments.

During its 2019 placements, the university observed a 100% placement rate in Computer Science and Engineering as well as Computer Science and Information Security. Whereas, Computer-Aided Structural Engineering and Bioinformatics streams had placement rates of 48% and 56% respectively.
